Health & Safety Manager
Our client is a well-established sub-contractor that put Health Safety and Quality at the forefront of their agenda and as a high priority for all of their sites.
With an exceptional programme of works and a long term forthcoming site in mind they have a need for a Health and Safety Manager to join their Plymouth operations and take charge of the on site Health and Safety.
The successful applicant will promote and uphold a positive health & safety culture on site and provide specialist expert construction health and safety knowledge to the business as a whole. Suitable candidates will have good experience of implementing a positive health and safety culture within a construction / contracting environment and have good management experience.
The role will include:
To provide and maintain safe systems of work across all sites, monitoring compliance with all legal bodies and regulatory requirements
Developing both internal policies and strategies
Work with the client to understand requirement and offer a collaborative approach
Offer companywide updates, providing newsletters highlighting health and safety wins and best practise
Working with the senior management team to uphold a positive health and safety environment
Ensure all works are carried out to SMAS certifications
Proven experience of working within health & safety on construction sites, Groundworks would be beneficial
NEBOSH General or Construction
CDM, Risk assessment, Construction Phase Plans, Fire Safety, Waste Management, Manual handling
Full valid driving licence
